You know you do have a face for radio...
— Various sources

I’ve worked in the public media industry for seven years, starting as an on-air announcer for the NPR station Vermont Public Radio. As my career grew I was able to pursue my journalistic endeavors, producing and reporting my own feature stories.

In 2022 I took a temporary assignment at National, where I moved to NYC and did more reporting and reviews, primarily around video games.

Today, I continue to do freelance stories for NPR and WNYC, diving deeper into the video game industry.

WNYC

In 2024, I began reporting for WNYC on a specific aspect of the video game scene in New York City, where developers bring games that are in development to be tested by other devs and casual gamers alike. I went to venues like Wonderville and BrookLan which host the events, and a larger event in the Javits Center called Play NYC.

NPR

In 2022, I contributed to NPR’s growing gaming beat through their culture desk. I dove deep into the gaming industry, speaking with game developers and voice actors from games like Spider-Man 2 and The Last of Us. I also wrote my own reviews and made sound rich audio features.

Vermont Public

In Vermont I was able to report at the beginning of the pandemic and how Vermonters were adjusting to the changes in our lives. I also worked on an episode of one of our podcasts that focused on the racial reckoning in the US in 2020, and a special project in collaboration with StoryCorps, focusing on the political divide in our nation.
